Balancing Acts: Calgary's 7th Annual Disability Arts Festival
With the theme 'Declaring the Movement' disability art was presented in five different venues throughout the downtown core featuring seven different live performances, six films, five Visual Arts Exhibits, two artist talk-backs and Disability Art & Culture lectures.

The number of community partners and supporters expanded exponentially this year and included Autism & Aspergers' Friendship Society, Independent Living Resource Centre in Calgary, The Organization for Bipolar Affective Disorders, Art Gallery of Calgary, Downstage Performance Society, Art Central, Mount Royal College, Bow Valley College, The City of Calgary, The Westin Calgary, in addition to the support of numerous volunteers.

The work of over one-hundred artists with disabilities was showcased throughout the week-long Festival and highlights included the Calgary premiere of Geoff McMurchy's and Lori Hamar's Wingspan Three; world premiere of Spirit Synott's Moving Still; and Victoria Maxwell's latest work Funny, You Don't Look Crazy?!...

Thanks to all of the local and visiting artists who made Balancing Acts7 an enormous success and a special thank-you to the generous support of In-Definite Arts Society, Studio C, and One Yellow Rabbit.
